Hello and welcome! Since you are new, I would recommend not trading ANY potions or time elixirs until you get a large amount. They will be very useful in helping you get a 6* unit. I would currently focus on getting 4* units and leveling them to max level. 4* units can easily be gotten through various events or by trading with players.
