| I'm wondering about this as I deployed my team to the DEF section.. I know that during team creation you can assign units for DEF. If you deploy your team to the DEF section does that mean only your units marked with DEF will be used for the battle? | |

~ Performing an Attack ~
When performing an attack, up to a maximum of 5 of your units NOT set on defense will attempt to attack the enemy guild's base.
When attacking, each unit involved in the attack will consume a set amount of Action Pts.
If you lack the Action Pts to perform even a single attack, no attack will take place.
If the enemy guild has no units set to defend, then you will attack the enemy base.
Enemy bases are unable to perform counterattacks and offer a larger number of Guild Pts.
Player skills will have no effect on combat in the FANTASICA Chronicles event.
Just from what the rules are saying, I would assume the units you set as DEF will be considered as the front line wall to take all the hits the enemy throws at you, stopping them from reaching the base/castle. We only get to control our attacking units that aren't tagged with DEF during battle. However, we can use the option to 'Heal' any of our units, including the DEF units. | |

| Yes.. I guess what I'm confused about is the deployment where we can choose ATK MID and DEF. Does deploying your team to DEF mean you will only be defending and only the units tagged DEF will be used? | |

| I actually want to know about that too but I have a feeling that the atk-mid-def thing just give certain stat boosts. I bet you can still attack others. | |

| I think that is said in the rules that mid gets minor bonuses to both atk/def while the atk and def give larger bonuses to those statlines...Will check again to make sure. | |

| if you deploy your units to different squares you can see the bonuses to stats that you will get | |

| lol I figured it out already after participating in a Battle... Units tagged DEF will not participate in the Battles when you attack but will defend the base itself if the enemies get through..
Deploying a unit to the DEF position means you're the last in line to get attacked and you have the strongest defense because of the boosts..
or at least that's what I think coz I deployed to the DEF position on the map and I was at the back of the units right beside the base.. :p | |

| What you said is exactly what's happening.
I always hang out in the back row for defense and I'm usually the last to have my DEF units attacked after everyone else's was decimated. | |
