[EVENT] It Came From Halloween! [Oct 31 - Nov 7]

I REALLY like this event. I feel like I am getting a consistent return on my efforts, especially with playing the new training and quest levels. I like the look of the boss sprites and reward cards, and the Dream Breaker series overall. I also like that this event doesn't require me to hustle TEs.

I am willing to spend a little $ on each event or card series to get new cards, but I'm not willing to buy multiple boxes just for candy, and I also refuse to pay for expendable game items like potions or TEs.

If we could get candy with ALL the card packs or boxes, I would consider spending more $ with the hope of collecting more new cards. A bonus potion or 3 is too little incentive to spend more $. I'd rather not buy more series boxes just to get a ton of duplicate 4*.

I really don't see how the free player can enjoy this event except for the eye candy in this event. Colosseum events at least rewards you for the # of wins and BT points earned (KoG = Pots and TEs, VC = premium tickets).

Lantern rewards seem hardly worth doing if you're going to spend a ton of potions and if you're not intending to get Helmut or Monica.

I would love to grind enough to atleast get Helmut, but I know it's fairly unachievable for me. Having to deal with school+the unwillingness to actually pay to get potions/candy. I doubt I'll get much farther passed 20k lanterns

Seriously, they over killed it with the low drop rates for the lanterns + increasing difficulty in attaining them. Even RoBs non-competitive prizes at least had fair chances in attaining them that even most casual players can achieve in fulfilling the requirements in receiving those prizes. The lantern prizes in this event is just trying to bait people into spending tons of money and using their items.

you can still make it to ghost. I'm currently at 10k lanterns and used 1 potion unintentionally

I'm feeling as though today, November 2nd, less nightmares are appearing across the board. This is the first day I've used 300tp in one go and not found a single nightmare TWICE in a row, with sogno as leader. The first go was on 19-5, the second on 1-4

I'm a free player (not even bothering buying a 4* DB for my lead, because hell if I want those things in my album) and I'm at 6049 lanterns / 19230 pts / Rank 1624. Getting the Ghost should be largely academic if I play over the weekend.

If you're not emotionally and financially invested in this event, it's simple:

* Get Ghost via lanterns (which you can do with persistence, not potions).
* If you make top 2000, you get Frankie. If you get 2001-4000, you get Witch.
* Use luna after the event to buy the one you didn't get.
* Don't worry about the Werewolf -- you're not going to make top 500 anyway, and besides it remains to be seen whether the Reincarnated Werewolf will be worth all the fuss.

What's with the converted monica? Been reading top rank 3 posts in game saying about selling pumpkin cards, keeping adelaide for the conversion or making of pumpkin cards. Monica is a 5* right? AFter the conversion she is now 6*

does a characters attack speed go into how much damage they do to monsters doesnt seem like they attack faster ive only really been able to check with a c and a d speed

Monica's always been a 6* card, a top tier one at that... 256k total atk power, D speed and slow skill.

Edit: I'm talking about the regular Monica, not the Halloween version

I noticed my Angela (S speed) attacks much faster than my Oneiro (C speed), so yea Speed does matter to an extend Smile

So I had only been playing the new training levels and felt the encounter rate was fairly good. After completing the last new level today I've been grinding on 21-5 as suggested. 2 witches and 1 wolf for 2100 TP, which I feel is low. Any thoughts on that?

Thats exactly what it says, I'm a bit worried now. This event did start on Wednesday rather than Monday, so maybe this was just a carryover.

So I'm not too worried about the typos in the announcements.

I am worried that my pace is such that I'll end up like 8K lanterns shy of Franken-Helmut.

Yeah, they have had Monica for a while now. She's pretty awesome. Too bad the Japanese wiki doesn't have MAX stats on her yet. I doubt she's as good as normal Monica though.

603 potions would be over 12 days of continuous play without burning them. Assuming you're probably using 6*s for the most part, thus able to do more levels with fewer TP spent.
