Also I have a bunch of monsters of 4* but most are in the 20's in levels.

That is largely what will determine prices of cards. For commonly traded cards, it will be quite definite in its answer. Why? Because prices fluctuate based on market's supply and demand. And you can see the supply right there. And if the lowest is not being sold, it also tells you where the demand has ended.

Be sure to take note of volume and its transactions, although it will be more difficult to tell due to lack of info avl by fantasitrade. If there's a large volume of cards going back and forth at a similar pricing point, you can be sure that's the common pricing point. But if there's a large volume of cards not moving at a similar pricing point, it means the supplier's price is not meeting the point where demands are. So, they'll likely either lower their prices or wait (potentially forever) for the demand to rise again.

For extremely rare traded cards, price checking is virtually meaningless. When supply becomes 1, and demand becomes 1 (ie you), what you and the other person value the card at is the only meaningful answer.

In my humble opinion, yes it seems like a very good trade. The 3 6*s are LE as well as moderately high mixed [ Lets put Karin aside for now ]. You can liquidate them into the more common 6*s or TE fairly well. 400TE is also nothing to scoff at.

Grumpy has outlined the gist of the usual price checking methods excellently. However I feel most people who come to the thread have a vague idea of the pricing point of their cards. As i've said previously getting as many numbers as you can from as many different sources Is key to get a good gauge of how good or bad a trade is for you. This thread serves as an avenue for those who are seeking an alternative number. Price checking has become a habit for me to do every other night so I don't mind at all. Very Happy

Of course it would be nice to have other opinions and valuations on prices here. This is an open thread so please feel free to input how you feel about someone's trade or a set price.

Card prices can spike and deteriorate in the span of hours if you're not aware. Price checking with your allies and friends is essential if you are moving cards around quickly.

I will answer Scylixx question in addition to explaining several patterns that are present regarding the trade values of the most confusing types of cards [Rank and Reward]. Hopefully it will shed some light on the best ways to trade said cards around.

There are 300 confirmed Shaulas in circulation. She has 30 DC with C speed poison.

Our closest comparison unit would be Stella from Symphony of Rapture. Stella released at 250TE and slowly declined to the low point of 90-120 as of time of writing. I predict Shaula to follow a similar route to Stella in the coming weeks. Players will put her at 200TE onwards and her price will slowly get cheaper and cheaper. If youre looking for value a 240-250mix seems fair on day one. It depends however as you will have both the units from that event and BA3 to contend with. The last time that happened all the units took a collective beating in value.

Thanks so much for the comprehensive read. I've pretty much gauged that much from just watching the market and RCR and stuff but it's nice to see it all written down.

What's interesting is whether the utility or rarity wins out in the end. Plenty of utility units going around for BA3 are going to have a sharp drop in price after BA3 is over, I'm assuming? There will be a lot of Aksanas, Levs, Bernhards and Charles out there looking for new homes...unless I'm not looking at all this in the right way hahaha.

Rarity would explain why LE4* cards like Caym/Cats/Montague/Tullia and what not are unbelievably highly priced at the moment (relative to the current market - I've seen them being quoted for more than LE f5*s), I'm assuming? But is there actually a demand for them at the prices being quoted by suppliers? I'm just curious, as a person playing more as a collector than competitively (thus being someone who'd want pretty cards > utility cards).

I have seen other players differentiate between rank and reward. there are those who will only take rank units in trade. There is a lot of difference between them as well so I felt they should'nt be lumped together.
Chainsaw wielding 20DC loli has never gone below 250 -300 asking price haha. People hold their ludmillas tight XD

The utility units will be cheaper but not on the scale one would imagine. Not every player will drop these cards the second after BA3 because as belhyde pointed out, they will still be very useful in many events to come. There's no replacing charles as an S speed 10DC filler. [ Some of the best COLO teams are just 5 Charles ]

Regarding the LE market as of now, many of said cards are out of reach for those beginning the game. [ They have always held high price and will not devalue ] In my experience, there are always buyers for such cards. Finding a compromise between buyer and seller is usually the tricky part. Said cards are not cheap as you have pointed out and its very likely you can purchase a relatively good 5*[ sometimes 6* ] with the TE. The best times to snag these cards are within auctions or when they are being firesold. Players who are attempting to compete and need a stash of TE sometimes hold large auctions containing all sorts of shinies that can snagged at cheaper than usual prices.

Oh that's true, I forget that Colo is also another arena type even (just not of the same style) and some of those units will still be held on to. (Speaking of which there was apparently a BA3 team taht was entirely made out of Charles...!?)

And yes, I'd assume that would be true for those LE cards, purely because the collectors aren't willing to release them, and so many have been fed off (due to being 4* and presumably abundant at their release times, like how a lot of rank/reward LE units are being sold off and treated at the same value as standard ones right now?), thus reducing the already limited population of them. It's definitely something I want to look into more in the long term, so for now I'm all good, but I'll definitely check in on firesales whenever I come across them in the future Very Happy

Value wise

Annette [ 15-18 ] + Gilberta [ 15-18 ] + Seymour [ 20-25 ] = 57 mix

A fresh vlad can go around 45-55 mix so it seems like an even deal. This is totally dependant on weather or not you need the 5*s or not however.

MLB Nanaca [ 80-100 ] + MLB Alvida [ 70-90 ] = 160 mix

A fresh Nina retails around 130-140 pure so again even to slightly skewed on your part. Its a good deal if you need more 6*s. Nanaca and Alvida are common but have good stats. Nina is however a very stable unit as she is a 15DC filler in many events.

As of which is better in the long run, Alt is relatively newish so there's more circulation while Patear was released in June [ Miss Fantasica Daily rank reward 30 given out daily ]

We can calculate the exact amount of Patears released then [ 7x30=210 ]. While we are still unsure of the exact amount of Alts circulated.

Patear is 30DC which is a bad thing in the current environment. She is also not a very popular 6* to keep around. Alt on the other hand is more sought after for her art. [ She is only a slightly better mage 6* ]

I'm more hopeful for alt than patear. Only time will tell if she rises however. Hope this helps. It's just my own opinion however. I've been terribly wrong before so ask around your allies or friends some more if you're still unsure. Smile

Abu, mlb Nanaca is like 70-80, if you are lucky you might get 90 TE and mlb Gilbertas are being already sold for 8-15 TE... :/ These Units dropped like a rock, trust me.

I just waned to correct this. I see a lot of ppl that are trying to get 90 TE for their mlb Nanaca, but no one pays that for her... Gilberta is hard to tel, honestly, but that's what I saw her mainly going for before the tradelock.

I was basing it on the last day just before BA3. Many low dc units spiked a little just before. Ive seen her jump a little up to 90-100 just before said lock. I think your forecast on Nana is more accurate though. Most common 6*s barely go above 80 nowadays. You can find Nanas very cheap from people offloading. Thats why i put the price at a range from 80-100 as you meet people who will value them differently. I've never seen on at 70 though thanks for pointing that out. ^^
