I've been close to 100 this morning... but now I've been flirting with 125 rank and then dropping back to 140-150 rank... and repeating over and over again

With 25 cost, penthe beats lily hands down in colo. Why ppl never look at deploy cost? Why?

OK i hope someone can take a moment and explain something for me, i understand that the higher the letter, the higher their defense, and do know the units have icons that represent which damage type they are, but what i don't understand is which type they are using while fighting a boss, for instance, i am currently on Lap 2 Floor 40 and barely scratched the boss with units doing 33k, 30k, 28k, 25k with their melee damage. Is their melee/air/sea damage erellevent and just matters on which type of damage they are? or how should i be picking my units depending on the boss? thanks in advance for the help, cheers

that damage sounds about right and I think the only way you are going to do more is to have a team of 6*s because the bosses on the 2nd lap are noticeably harder than the first lap.

Those bosses also have types, either land air or sea. Their type determines which one of your units attack per will be used to calculate the damage. I don't know what type the bosses are, but i've been assuming
Their all lands units because they look like they would be. They may not be land units though.

So the boss of floor 40 is Antiope. She's a ground monster so only ground damage of the units are taken into account. As for the letters, S = -90%, A = -70%, B = -20%, C = -0%, D = +5%, E = +50%. Antiope has D defense against missile which means you should use missile units with high ground damage (like Edgar, Arrebol, etc) to attack Antiope.

No problem, floor 40 Antiope took me 2 tries with cam, 2 maxed monica, and a maxed vamp.

For those interested in knowing how much damage a unit will do to a boss, below are their damage multipliers. So against Hippolyte, a missile unit will only deal 55% of it's max land attack stat.

You are right po.. I was merely comparing strength. For usage, depends, I have all other units at 15 or less DP.. so 2 30 DP is not a problem for me. But yah, for colo Penthe have advantage over lily

the boss that appears on every 10th floor is random, right?

anyway, seems Amazons dun have nose...

Almost done with my second lap! I hope I get Melanippe. She and Antiope are my favorites.
On a side note, I've gotten about 10 Premium Tickets throughout this event and am so tempted to use them, but I know it's even more unlikely to get a 6* with them ;__;
I'm just gonna save them for the next ticket-based quest event but it's such an enticing idea!

weird... I haven't gotten any... now doing lap 2.sure it's not from the mega packs? they are being given out as bonuses.

I feel it's worth using the premium tickets now... getting 1TE for each ticket used.

Oh, I looked. And what I saw was that 25 vs. 30 isn't a very big deal even in Colosseum events, because it means both of them will be quite costly in an Colosseum context. If it was more like 15 - 30 or 10 - 25, that'd be major.

Generally speaking, you can afford at least one or two high-cost units as long as they're heavy hitters and have a strong skill. Filling out the rest of your team with 10-15-20s is an art form, and if you have to sacrifice five points on the low end to get the big guys you want, that's much easier to manage.

Also, while Colosseum events are fun, it's not like (a) they're extremely common -- we've only had a couple so far -- or (b) you can't rack up lots of wins with an arguably 'inferior' team. Climbing the Victory Count scoreboard is as much about picking targets wisely, persistence and TEs as it is about having a perfect deploy-cost squad.
